29th Sunday in Ordinary Time

by Fr. Adrian Cisneros  |  10/16/2022  |  From the Clergy

In this weekend’s gospel, the phrase “pray always without becoming weary” stands out to me. I have been in the position of administrator of St. Stanislaus for just over three months, and it has been a wonderful experience; not always easy, but wonderful. I need to remember that I cannot do everything all at once, and to “go slow,” as people remind me. This weekend and next weekend, there will be an opportunity presented to you - a call to serve your parish community - especially at the Mass.

I am asking you to prayerfully consider serving as a: greeter, usher, lector, minister of Holy Communion, sacristan, parking lot patrol, altar server, or choir member-I need your help with this. If you have never served in any of these roles, I urge you to step up and start; don’t worry, we will train you. If you have served in the past, I also encourage you to once again serve, possibly in a different capacity. If you are currently serving, thank you! This is a great opportunity to serve God, your parish and one another.

I also want to say THANK YOU to all who helped us not only reach our 2022 BMA goal, but greatly surpass it! We did this in record time, and it is exciting for me to see what we can do as a community! I am proud of all you in this effort.

Please pray for me, for our St. Stanislaus community, and for our Diocese of Stockton.
