Feast of St. Stanislaus April 11th
by Rev. Adrian Cisneros | 03/09/2025 | From the Clergy- The patron Saint of our parish and school is St. Stanislaus of Krakow, Poland.
- He was a priest, then bishop who was know for his outspokenness, where his eloquence and example brought about a real conversion in many of his penitents.
- He was know for his vigorous opposition to the evils of an unjust government, especially King Boleslaw.
- St. Stanislaus spoke against the tyrant, cruel and unjust king so much, the king himself slew the bishop with his sword while the bishop was celebrating Mass.
- While we can’t truly and fully imagine a priest or a bishop being stabbed to death by the king during Mass, this is how St. Stanislaus received the crown of Martyrdom.
- I have been here as the parochial administrator since July of 2022, and it has been quite a fruitful experience. I have come to know and love this community parish family in that time.
- Bishop Cotta has heard about and recognized my efforts here at St. Stanislaus and has appointed me the official Pastor! What a true honor and privilege!
- St. Stanislaus name means “one who looking achieve Glory or fame.” I am not looking to achieve that through being a Pastor, but I do hope to pastor all of you to share in Eternal Glory with God in Heaven!
- There is a small sign in the sacristy which reads: “Priest of God Celebrate this Mass as it were your first, your last, your only one.”
- St. Stanislaus died celebrating the Eucharist with the people he loved. May I be inspired by him every time I celebrate the Eucharist and sacraments with you. The people I love.
- Installation as Pastor– Mass at 5PM, Church on Maze Blvd. Reception to follow.
